Where Do We Come From and Where Are We Going?

No one on Earth knows where they come from or where they are going.

Birth is a strange event, in which a new person comes out of an existing person and into a world of war, deceit, work and uncertainty.

No one tells this young human the truth, because no one knows the truth.

No one tells this young human where he goes after he dies, because no one knows what happens after life.

So what does someone do who has no idea where they come from and where they are going?

Some people go crazy and kill others.

Some just follow their leaders and live as safely as possible.

Still others take control and lead their fellow humans in an endeavor.

But how can someone lead if they have no idea where they come from, or where they are going?

For instance, why should someone care about profits if you’re only going to be here for 70-80 years?
What if you’re only here for 20-25 years? Why also, should someone care about a career that will not last past death? Shouldn’t we try to figure out what humanity’s ultimate goal is? What is the goal of this group of beings?

If we all had the same goal, then we could all work together to achieve that goal. Considering that I was never given the goal of humanity along with every other person, I am allowed, as have many others before me, the opportunity to guess humanity’s goal that thousands of people can pursue together.

My Goal For Humanity

The goal of humanity should be to make Earth into a nice place to live.

What would make Earth a nice place to live?

Safety

It would be nice to know that no one is going to shoot, stab, rob or bomb you. It would be nice to eliminate car accidents, plane crashes, terrorism and food poisoning. Unfortunately, this will not stop until there is nothing to gain from these actions. This would require us to have nowhere to rush to, no reason to serve old food to our guests, no reason to produce faulty equipment or work on too little sleep and the type of living conditions for everyone that make them content.

Purpose

It would be nice to grow up in a world that offers you the opportunity to do something great. Right now, the only way to feel like you are successful is to graduate from Duke and get a high paying sales job. There is no way for the poor person or the average person to make a decent living in any country without sacrificing their entire life. If we surmise that Earth is not the only and final destination of life, then some part of this life should include a reflection of where we came from and a preparation for where we are going.

Fun

A perfect world involves fun. Lots of fun! To many of us look to the wrong things for fun, whether it’s gambling, sex with many people, drugs, television and shopping, when in fact these things aren’t truly fun. They are simply distractions that keep us from being too bored or depressed. Usually they themselves get boring and lead to further depression.

Education

Children spend 25+ years of their life being educated about Earth. None of this education tells us specifically where we come from and where we are going. It only fills our heads with the bullshit of our ancestors, whom have never fully answered this question. All who have come before you have only attempted to survive as long as possible, not to answer the question of why are we here.

Fairness

The richest people that I know have inherited a fortune from their parents/grandparents. There are other people who have scratched and clawed their entire life in competition to achieve financial superiority. Everyone else is a slave. Many are on the street, dying and starving without hope. A perfect world offers each person the same opportunity for a happy life. Why is Earth not fair? Earth is not fair because the wealth rules. Most billionaires are unknown, controlling life from behind the scenes through a tangled web of power. The inner workings of each society is unknown to its citizens to maintain an image that benefits those in power.

Business

Eliminate for-profit businesses by having the people holding all of the money invest in non-profit businesses that serve the needs of the less-fortunate. Every person must have proper housing, food and clothing as well as health care, transportation and communicative devices. No one needs to have an excess, therefore excess money for anyone is unnecessary. All people have the right to these basic needs of humanity.

In summary, the goal of humanity must include:
  • Elimination of all danger through increased well-being
  • Understanding of birth and death
  • Real fun
  • Elimination of unnecessary and outdated education
  • Replacement of for-profit business with non-profit businesses
Our greatest hurdle is that no one can imagine a world without profits, taxes, wars, school, birthdays and funerals. No one seems to think that it is possible to work for free and yet have everything that you need, pay no taxes and receive no paychecks, living in peace doing what you enjoy for your entire life, treating every day like a new day and with a respect and understanding of birth and death.

What would we do without thinking about money and planning our Earth based futures?

I would wake up every day and do the thing that I love doing the most and I would do that until I fell asleep. And that would be my life. I would become known for that thing that I do most.

I would create friends who love it as much as I and we would do this together, forming a community. This community would grow strong and become a tribe. Children would be born into this tribe and enjoy it as well. They would also have the opportunity to find their own path and create or join their own tribe. That is a perfect world.

It at least makes the most sense considering that we have no clue where we come from or where we are going.

I look up and all I see is coal and diamonds,
I look down and all i see is more miners
I jump out the cave leave dead bodies to stay
Why do I play this crazy game to the grave??

I live my life
like I love my life
I feel your pain
hope you love your life...one day...

Peering at the mirror I see ghosts of summers past
pray to the sky that the kid in me grows and can outlast
the demons who chase the angels away
and still I thank god for planting me in the home of the brave

The system is one of constant action. If I'm acting, then others are acting as my audience. There are no small roles in America, it is what one does with their role that makes them a star. Role models like Tiger are only good for one role, and with Tiger, that role is golf. Tiger is the greatest golf actor on the planet. There will be more after him, and there have been many before him. Tiger has become great in one particular action, the golf swing, and we love to watch him do that. So when we watch Tiger play golf, we are acting as the observer. We don't watch Tiger do anything else, so we assume that he only plays golf, which is idiotic. Tiger is a human being, just as we all are. Our society is one in which we are pressured to specialize, and yet expected to excel in every role according to certain standards. When only the talented few are the ones playing, and those without talent are watching, a terrible relationship emerges. Those who have, and those who have not. The one's who have talent are watched and paid by those who don't. The one's who don't have talent live a life of grunt work, depression, anxiety, helplessness and dependency. The majority of Americans are angry spectators, throwing beers at the players in jealous desperation. You are sinking into a role that you never intended to stay in. You've began to seriously believe that you are one person and that you will never change. Humans are changlings, we shift and morph and become and destroy ourselves only to recreate ourselves again. "All the world is a stage, and all the people merely actors".

I'm a thoughtful fucking writer

I'm using someone else's actions because they're safer
If you say I love you and I say it back, then I'm safe from conflict for another day
Yet if you say those same words and I tell you that I really need to get away from you
you're going to cry. You're going to feel terrible.
So What? I learned how to type from a computer program.
I learned how to write from a book.
I know what I look like because I saw my self in a mirror.
Hey, look at that can of Pomegranate soda. Wasn't it delicious.
Well, it was until I reached the bottom of the can, when I began to hate the sweetness.
Oh, it was so refreshing in the beginning.
