A Simile

One day in paradise the Shroompa's decided to pretend that they didn’t know their Creator at all. They pretended that they couldn’t see him(her), couldn’t hear his(her) guidance,
and were completely alone.
Then they made up their own rules.
They also made up their own agenda based on what they thought was important to do in order to keep this lifestyle alive. Many years after the game had started, they had become so engrossed in playing along that they completely forgot who they really were.
It’s hard to ignore the Creator completely, so there were glimpses of who they really were,
and these glimpses were called miracles. For a very long time everyone tried to control the one planet, Urugula, that they just so happened to live on together.
After some time they made it dirty and used up all of its resources.
The most intellectual Shroompa's killed off anyone who didn’t agree them. They spoke of their creator as if he was somewhere far away looking down on them, like the sun or something. The Shroompa's were truly lost. But it was all just a game. At any time they could just open their third eye, and all would be forgiven. The Creator of the Shroompa's is very kind.
